Regular visits

Gum disease, infections, and tooth decay influence your whole body’s health. Scientific studies have shown that disease in the mouth can be measured in other parts of the body. Today we know that a healthy smile not only gives us confidence, but it’s good for us. There is a real value in maintaining your oral health and we will do our best to take care of your teeth.

Your teeth

To avoid tooth pain or big dental problems, we recommend visiting your dentist regularly. Many catastrophic tooth problems begin as small, repairable situations. With regular x-rays and exams, your dentist will find situations before they are problematic and that means you will avoid pain, expensive dental treatment, and possibly loosing teeth. Call us and make a one hour New Patient Exam.

Second opinions are helpful. If you have a dental situation that requires treatment and you are not confident about the recommended treatment, please schedule a 30 minute Second Opinion Exam. We’ll take new x-rays or use the x-rays you bring, we’ll answer your questions, and we’ll offer you our expert opinion.

We use advanced dental technology to improve your visits.

  1. Digital x-rays use less radiation.

  2. White fillings are bonded to teeth and make teeth look natural.

  3. Fluoride varnish painted on your teeth means you swallow less fluoride.

  4. All ceramic crowns/veneers don’t look artificial, don’t show black lines.

  5. Micro fillings and sealants stop decay and are placed without pain.

  6. Rapid office whitening does not overheat your tooth’s nerve.

  7. Quiet drill technology helps reduce the noise of the drill.

  8. Root sensitivity and small decay repaired without using a drill.

Gingivitis is the single leading cause of inflammation in the world. When this inflammation of the gums causes irreversible damage, it destroys the bone and attachment that holds our teeth. This condition is called periodontitis. Smoking, bacteria, and genetics all play some part in periodontitis and often the result is loss of teeth. Fortunately, periodontal disease can be controlled with special cleanings and special toothbrushes. If you have not been tested for periodontal disease, please call us and schedule a one hour New Patient Exam.

When used properly, whitening is safer for your teeth than drinking a Coca-Cola. There are many different brands and types of tooth whitening and we can help you decide which one is best for you.

Some people grind or clench their teeth at night. It’s called bruxism and it can destroy your teeth and injure your jaw joint. Here are some signs that you are grinding your teeth: headaches, short teeth that are worn flat, root sensitivity, and broken or cracked teeth. A night guard is a plastic tray that is custom made to fit and protect your teeth while you sleep. During an exam we will check for signs of grinding.
